Really smart move - a Super Bowl ad is one thing, but the in person activation and tie in to the livery reveal really will take it to the next level.

Really smart play to hit the biggest city after hitting the biggest audience in the US.

Great analysis. As you say, this is perfect timing for Cadillac. A few years of Drive to Survive building a bigger US audience and then along comes a team for domestic fans to support.

I'm excited for them too. It's challenging, but not unprecedented for a new team to succeed from the outset after a significant change in regulations (see Brawn GP in 2009). From the little we could see from the Barcelona test, the car looks neat and tidy, and as you point out, the risk associated with a new power unit have been mitigated. With two experienced drivers, I do think they'll surprise a few people. Can't wait.

Solid breakdown of this strategy. The timing with that 57% of US F1 fans being new converts is crazy relevant becuase it basically proves the market is still wide open. I've noticed in my own circles that alot of casual sports fans became F1 enthusiasts thru Drive to Survive but haven't picked a team yet.

Cadillac's approach is refreshing and feels similar to RB joining in the early 00s, which shook up the paddack a bit for the better.

This could be very eye opening, just like RB was

Is Bottas set to watch a nuclear blast? There should be a law against these sunglasses. Anyhow I don’t watch the super bowl but I hope I see the Cadillac ad.

😂 😂 sorry but I got a kick out of that comment

So what does that mean? I liked your article. I don’t follow American football but I’ll try to find the Cadillac ad on YouTube. As for sunglasses, photos of celebs wearing sunglasses shouldn’t be published. People being interviewed should always remove their sunglasses. Danica Patrick and Jeff Gordon were probably the two worst for that. Ever notice Scot Dixon always takes his off? What a gentleman he is!

That’s a great point. Or the interviewees that don’t remove their helmets… those are always funny. Probably happens more in American football.

Dixon is great.
